Original Ceramic Mortar & Pestle - Small

Cooks in Europe have long favoured ceramic mortars and pestles for making pesto (in Italy) and picadas (in Spain). 

Ceramic works particularly well with garlic, nuts, herbs and bread. In Thailand, a ceramic mortar and pestle is generally used to lightly bruise ingredients for green papaya salad

Our ‘Original’ products have been handcrafted and hand finished using traditional techniques, and are of significant age. Minor anomalies in size, design and finish are inherent to the character of these products, and are not considered defects, as they form the natural attributes and beauty of these unique items.
